About This Project

Tamy & Mark – Location : Goult village (Luberon in Provence)

Luberon mon amour

This young Swiss couple experienced many adventures during the year of their wedding. While they were planning their D-day, they had to move to London due to career promotion. New country, new habits, new life, everything was not easy-going but supported by us, we tried to make it as comfortable as possible and create a super wedding that Tamy dreamed about.

We didn’t have a specific brief regarding the venue sourcing ; we only had an area : Luberon Valley. We suggested several locations there and while we were visiting some venues near Gordes and Bonnieux, we suddenly decided to improvise an appointment to visit Pierre Cardin’s house we were been spoken about. Great decision, they felt in Love with this property, which we have to acknowledge, is gorgeous!

We had to accommodate 270 people in the area, during summer season, which was a real challenge but we managed. We selected a range of Bed & Brekfast and luxuous hotels around Ménerbes, Gordes, Bonnieux. Both immediate families were accommodated in Bastide de Marie, a fabulous charming Boutique Hotel in Ménerbes.
We displayed a welcoming gift for each guest in all hotels composed by a wedding programm nicely printed, an olive oil flask and an elegant linen embroidered pouch with 5 almond dragees.

A welcoming dinner was planned on Friday evening with families and parents’friends in a gorgeous restaurant in the hinterland of Gordes. Aperitif under the cheery trees in bloom then buffet of Provencal dishes : « Cœur de Bœuf » tomatoes fresh soup, Provencal Crespeou (cake of omelettes), “Pissaladière” (candied onions tart), Tempura of courgette flowers, slowly-cooked Lamb from Quercy, courgette gratin with thyme flavour and desserts assortments for all gourmets.
On Saturday morning, we scheduled an excursion through Alpilles mountains, aiming at visiting Les Baux de Provence village.
On Saturday night, it was the « youngster » party! We planned a standing reception in Menerbes, in a breathtaking venue that offers a gorgeous view on the Luberon valley : French charcuteries, French cheeses, tapas and sweets.
Both Jewish, we had a ceremony on site in the wedding venue on Sunday afternoon celebrated by 2 famous Swiss rabbis under a splendid floral luxuriant huppa. Tamy chose an organic, white and green design, with a mix of textures, materials, neutral colours.
As a dinner, we decided to offer something different : a standing reception. To make it attractive, we had to offer a large range of food and because friends and families came from all over the world, we decided to mix foods and offered a lot of live-station stands : spicy Oriental food, Mediterranean seaside food, Italian & pasta food, Provencal food, French cheeses, good French wines and champagnes. Last but not least, desserts were crazy : flambeed fruits, ice creams and sorbets made on site with nitrogen techniques, crepes, waffles, candy floss, chocolate fountain, fresh fruits, etc…
They danced until early in the morning under the sky and even the wind didn’t manage to spoil the atmosphere.
