Tanja & Alexis – Gordes (Luberon)

Gorgeous wedding in Gordes

He is French, she is German. Their love is as insane as how beautiful they both are !
Even if few of his friends wouldn’t have bet on his success, Alexis managed to win his Princess Tanja’s heart and she definitely said “I do”.
To share that moment with friends and families, our 2 lovers selected the Luberon valley, in Provence (South of France), where they used to spend holidays by the past and where they felt in love with magical landscapes.
They decided to be supported by our agency and we quickly found that perfect venue : a breathtaking private modern villa located on top of Gordes village, nestled in a luxuriant natural setting. They spent 4 days in this incredible villa so as to enjoy sort of holiday-wedding.
On Friday night, we planned a perfect welcoming dinner in a famous restaurant near Gordes. The wedding ceremony was celebrated in Saint-Michel church, in Roussillon village. This beautiful church built in XVIIIe century is connected with a cliff which offers a gorgeous panorama on Luberon valley and guests were amazed, drinking a fresh lemonade or a fresh ice tea and enjoying the view. To create a romantic ambiance, we designed the church with babybreath & lots of candles, keeping a special green touch, common for German traditions. Violonist, organist and singer helped to fix a special emotional ambiance during the ceremony.

The reception drink was planned in one of the amazing terraces of the villa : champagne, rosé wines and live stations for a simple but elegant cocktail.
To announce the dinner and ask people to move there, an army of nice kids had to ring the bells, which are also a German tradition.
The dinner were set up in the main terrace, facing the overflowing swimmingpool and the unobstructed view on Provence.

The design was sober and elegant : beige linen tablecloth, jam jars with hydrangeas, peonies, babybreath, ivory candles ; napkin rings made with natural string and rosemary stem and the table names were hand-made by the bride (sort of gingerbread frame) : as wedding favors, a special German thought with heart-shape gingerbread cake and a flask of Schnaps (famous German after-dinner liqueur).
As a starter, concumber gazpacho, served with goatcheese sorbet.
As a main, rack of lamb with Provencal candied vegetables and mashed potatoes.
As a dessert, assortments of several sweets.
Music was terrific, supported by a live saxophonist and a live drummer and helped by a fantastic DJ who played until early morning without losing anybody on the dancefloor! Sparkling, mojitos, paninis and hamburger snacking contributed to this ambiance which was worthy of the most popular club in Germany.

Special mention to bridesmaids and ushers who after displaying a special movie they made on their own, offered a Vespa (Italian scooter) to the newlyweds!
