Provence in love in Luberon

This cute Franco-British couple living in London had a very fixed idea about their dream wedding. Sophie & Simon wished to gather all their guests in Provence, especially in Luberon valley.
Supported by Géraldine & Amandine, they chose a wedding venue in a gorgeous private property near Goult & Lacoste and booked the church of the fantastic village of Bonnieux.
As a profesionnal designer, Sophie set her theme a long time ago : she definitly wanted a « French Brocante » spirit and naturally she started to travel between Provence and UK several times and enjoyed to bargain-hunt there. She also hand-made a lot such as cushions, wooden signs.
The colour theme was blue, white & grey/green. We helped her by thinking about floral arrangements made with thistles, blue hydrangeas, eucalyptus, olive trees branches and lysianthus & white limonium.
We also designed a dramatic entrance area circled by a lot of mature olive trees and candles lanterns.
After the ceremony in Bonnieux, all guests were welcomed for a drink reception around the round pool of the majestic property. Both fans of Spain, the lovers selected an assortment of Spanish tapas for their guests : Pimientos de Padrón, Croquetas, Iberico ham, etc…
After the traditionnal couple pictures session, guests enjoyed the Newlyweds arrival under a special firework which made it really spectacular.
The dinner was set up in the courtyard, among four very antic towers, under a nomadic stretch tent set up for the reception. The design was a mix of old Provence & Brocante : we used blue « Toile de Jouy » tablecloths, antic tableware, organic floral arrangement and of course a lot of candles.
As a starter, iced velouté of Truffles ; as a main, supreme of quail, grappe gravy, mashed potatos with olive oil from Anglandau and Provencal ratatouille. As a cheese, South West Rocamadour (goatcheese) served with a fresh fig and candied fig.
for the wedding cake, a Russian Pavlova with French meringue and red berries.
All the guests danced until the early morning under the stars and the magnificient lighting design.

The day after, a Garden party was plannned around the pool : barbecue, salad bar, cheeses buffet, fruits & icecreams bar  and French biscuits were set up along the garden and amazed all the « Night owls ».
