A Shiny Wedding in Uzès

Leila et Joaquim share the same passion : Fashion ! This 2 Parisian actually met through a fashion event and have enjoyed to work together throughout the fashion world.
Happy, in love but also definitely mature, they decided to get married but thought about having something out of the box. Have fun and share happy experiences with their close  confidantes were the keywords of our brief.
The venue had to be near Uzes were Leila’s parents have a property and where the couple would be able to get legally and civilly married. It’s not the most crowded area of the Provence and you are not really able to have a large range of venues there. It’s why we decided to focus on private properties and we have to say, it was the best strategy. We found a terrific villa with a dramatic view and the perfect summer-holiday flavours.
Circled by huge natural landscapes, the villa offers a large pool, tennis court, fitness room and several quads for fun activities without speaking about its architecture and stone-style which give a very special atmosphere. 20 people accommodated on site made this villa the perfect spot to gather friends and family.
Day 1 : Friday : Civil ceremony at Uzes townhall and standing barbecue from evening to early morning at the villa
Day 2 : Saturday. The theme was « the light ». We obvisouly decided to plan a night-ceremony with a lot of lights to share a unique ambiance. We had to revert the usual wedding chronological order and decided to start with the aperitif from 5.30 to 7.30PM. French aperitif, champagne, saxophonist. Leila’s mum planned a surprise : doves were released as a symbol of peace.
7.45 PM, night was coming, people were asked to move at the ceremony area. Eveything was gloomy and suddenly light came. All the ceremony area were designed with lights and garlands which made a magical spirit. Gospel musicians started to sing when the bridal party entered the main aisle starting they choregraphy on Joyful Joyful song. This ceremony was a real pleasure, full of love and emotions and perfectly performed by the priest, Jean-Marie.
At the end of the ceremony, with the traditionnal recessional Gospel song Happy Day, guests followed the bride and the groom. On top of the gorgeous stairs, they were served a shoot of vodka before entering the dancefloor set up under the nomadic stretch tent which matched perfectly with the style of the house.
Day 3 : Sunday. We decided to rent several foodtrucks to create a music festival spirit. One foodtruck specialized on salads bar & detox smoothies. Second foodtruck specialized on French Tartine with for instance truffle flavour scrambled eggs – candied tomatoes – cheddar tartine  or pepper-tomatoes-roquette salad- Italian raw ham & goat cheese tartine.
Third foodtruck with Italian icecreams & French sorbets.
Everyone around the pool, playing tennis, swimming and drinking. The perfect brunch.
Final evening but not the least, all guests had to cook a dish : some decided to cook something from their country, other something they cook the best and it was a great moment shared around the amazing kitchen of the villa : 20 specialities from worlwide and a lot of wines enclosed this perfect wedding week-end in Provence !
